This day at heart is a women’s right issue. Women ,children and youth comprise over three quarters of homes affected by conflicts and disaster in most parts of the world .Girls and women in crisis situations face greater risk of abuse, sexual exploitation, violence, forced marriage, reproductive health-related illnesses and death due to lack of protection and an absence of aid delivery to address their needs. Improving women’s rights can be a powerful tool to tackle unsustainable population growth. In both developing and industrialised world women, with more education have fewer children.
Today,World Population Day draws our attention to Rural Women, who are the key agents for achieving the transformation in economic, environmental and social changes required for sustainable development. Limited access to credit, health care and education are among many challenges they face ,which are aggravated by global food and economic crisis and climate change. “Family Planning is a Human Right”, will be the focus of the 2018 celebration.
Urwish is socially aware and engages in the upliftment of women and society as a whole providing several awareness generation programmes and training in Stitching, embroidery, Diya making etc. Women, young people /children specially require targeted support and aid for improved quality of living and self reliance.

Priming women will have lasting impact and involves conscious raising before the social construction of gender which subordinates them in the family, class, caste, religion or society.
Economic credibility of women will ensure control over economic resources and strengthening women’s financial security. It will also open greater employment opportunities and help to capacitate them within their communities.
